SoftwareFool beta

Terms of use

Beta service and contact

SoftwareFool is an independently operated beta file-processing service intended mainly for users in the United States. Software Fool LLC is a planned business name; it is not a registered company. No registered LLC is represented as operating this beta. Contact [email protected] about these terms, account issues or complaints. Operator registration, a business address and final jurisdiction remain pending and will be reviewed before launch.

Your agreement and account

Before submitting new work, accept the current Terms and acknowledge that you have read the current Privacy notice. Registered customers sign in with an email address they control and complete verification. During beta, a guest browser session can instead receive one 200-credit allocation per network. It does not renew; register and verify your email for further beta credits. Other people sharing the same internet address share network eligibility. Guest files and credits remain private to the browser session that received them. Clearing cookies does not reset eligibility or recover a lost guest session. This acknowledgment does not provide consent for advertising or optional development investigations. Each decision records the document version and time. Existing customers also review the current versions on their next protected action; earlier use is not recorded as acceptance. You must have the capacity and authority required by applicable law to enter this agreement, including authority to act for any organization or person whose files you submit.

Security and permitted use

Keep your password, authenticator factors, recovery codes and API keys confidential. Use only the permissions your integration needs and revoke exposed keys. Tell support if you suspect unauthorized access. Do not access another account, share private result links or credentials publicly, submit malware or unlawful material, infringe others’ rights, impersonate another person, scan for private configuration, bypass access controls or overload the service. Security limits and temporary suspensions may restrict abusive requests. Contact support to report a suspected vulnerability without including secrets or customer file contents.

Your files and processing permission

You retain your rights in submitted files. You give the service only the permission needed to receive, temporarily store, process and return your requested files, handle retries and perform the deletion described in the Privacy notice. You must be authorized to process any personal, copyrighted, confidential or third-party information in them. This permission does not transfer ownership or authorize advertising or model training. Optional investigation of failed files requires a separate, unchecked consent choice.

Available tools and limits

The public catalogue lists available PDF tools and image, document, spreadsheet and presentation converters. Each tool shows supported inputs, options and technical limits. Office-family converters accept one source per job; supported image tools may accept ordered batches. Some conversions lose editable structure, formulas, fonts, precision or layout. OCR is for supported printed text and can make recognition errors. PDF signatures or images of signatures are not a promise of legal validity. Keep originals and inspect every result before relying on it. Quotes and accepted uploads do not guarantee successful processing, fidelity, processing time or suitability for regulated records.

Credits, estimates and confirmations

The website and API share one wallet and account-wide job limits. Each tool shows its tariff and exact quoted cost before confirmation. An accepted job reserves the confirmed credits. Success captures that reservation once; final failure or cancellation releases it. In a flow, each successful task is charged even if a later task fails; failed, cancelled and unstarted tasks are not charged. Later price changes do not alter accepted costs. Preserve job identifiers and use the original Idempotency-Key for an uncertain submission; changing a request requires a fresh review rather than a blind retry.

Free beta credits

Guest networks receive only one 200-credit beta allocation, with no refill. Verified active non-staff customers receive 100 beta credits and can request another 100 only when their wallet is empty and no credits remain held. Beta credits are used before protected or purchased credits. All unused beta and legacy monthly credits expire when beta ends; existing holds can settle safely and late releases expire. Purchased credits are preserved. After beta, customers with a recorded credit purchase receive 100 bonus credits once for each successful website processing job; API jobs, failed jobs and cancellations do not earn this bonus. Grants, expiry, spending and retirement remain in transaction history.

No purchases or subscriptions

Credit purchases are unavailable in this beta, and no subscriptions are offered. Monetary pricing will be announced later. No paid checkout, automatic renewal or purchase refund program is offered. Commercial terms, payment handling and any applicable refund rights must be reviewed before paid sales start. Failed-job credit releases are not cash refunds.

Results, downloads and deletion

SoftwareFool is not permanent file storage. Results remain available until their displayed expiry, normally 24 hours, or Delete Now. Interrupted downloads can be retried while a result is available. Successful uploads are removed when the first result download starts or the result expires. Cancelled uploads are scheduled for immediate removal. Failed uploads follow the separate investigation choice described in the Privacy notice. Intermediate flow results may remain needed by an active or paused flow. Delete Now stops new access but cannot recall copies already downloaded or a transfer already in progress. Physical cleanup failures are retried. Deleting files does not erase job, agreement or accounting history or refund successful work.

API use and legal updates

Bearer API keys use scoped permissions; browser sessions cannot substitute for a key. New protected API requests require the same current legal decisions as website submissions. A legal_acceptance_required response means the account holder must review the documents on the website. API code must not accept unseen text automatically. Read, download, delete and cancel access to existing work stays available, subject to ordinary authentication, security and expiry rules. New document versions require a new explicit decision. Draft edits alone do not change the effective version. Acceptance does not resume a declined upload automatically; submit it again only after reviewing the current quote.

Account closure and suspension

You may stop using the service at any time. Finish or cancel active work, export account data and save available results before closing. Eligible customer accounts can close after resolving protected balances and explicitly confirming any permitted free-credit forfeiture. Staff accounts and accounts with remaining paid, refunded or positive-adjustment credits require administrator handling. Closure revokes credentials and sessions and pseudonymizes personal sign-in details, while retaining necessary job, legal and accounting relationships. Remaining files follow normal expiry and cleanup. Security restrictions may suspend new work; contact support if you believe a restriction is mistaken.

Availability, responsibility and applicable rights

The beta is provided as available, with reasonable efforts to protect accounts and files but no guarantee of uninterrupted access, permanent storage or error-free results. To the extent applicable law permits, no warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or conversion accuracy is offered. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer, privacy or other rights that cannot lawfully be excluded. No governing state, mandatory arbitration or fixed liability cap is selected in this beta. Operator identity, jurisdiction and appropriate launch provisions still require review. Report issues promptly with the job ID and time, without credentials or confidential file contents.

Changes and copies

Published versions are retained so you can identify what you reviewed. Changes to required documents block new work until you review and explicitly decide on the current version. You may decline and retain access to the account and recovery controls described above. Public notices remain readable without agreement. Print or save the current documents for your records. Launch or registration will require another policy review; these beta terms do not claim that review is complete.
